Requests for Proposals (RFP)

The Town of Sykesville periodically puts out Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for various work and projects throughout the year.  Below are our open RFPs.  If you have any questions about an RFP, please contact the staff person listed on the individual RFP.

Gate House Porch Rehabilitation

The Town is in search of a qualified contractor to rehabilitate the front porch of the Gate House Museum.  The Gate House is a historic building that has a preservation easement on it through the Maryland Historical Trust (MHT).  All work must be done in accordance with the approval of the MHT (see the letter below).  For full bid information, please view the RFP at the link below.  An addendum was added on January 24, 2024, and a second addendum was added January 31, 2024.  Both are included in the below RFP.

Millard Cooper Park Pedestrian Bridge Rehabilitation

The Town is requesting cost proposals from qualified contractors for the replacement of approximately 150 linear feet of surface planks and railings on the wooden pedestrian bridges located in Millard Cooper Park, and a grout bag repair of a single bridge abutment.  The full text of the RFP is linked below, along with detailed grout bag repair plans and an assessment and repair recommendation memorandum provided by the Town's engineer, KCI.
