Veteran’s Day - Tuesday, November 11 – There is no change to trash or recycling pickup due to this holiday

Thanksgiving - Thursday, November 27 – There is no recycling pickup due to this holiday

Christmas Eve - Wednesday, December 24  – There is no change to trash pickup due to this holiday

Christmas Day - Thursday, December 25 – Recycling will be picked up on Friday, December 26

New Year’s Eve - Wednesday, December 31 – There is no change to trash pickup due to this holiday

New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1 – Recycling will be picked up on Friday, January 2

Residential Yard Waste Pickup Schedule

Yard waste is collected on your trash day April through November. Carroll County’s Solid Waste Ordinance prohibits yard waste from being mixed with standard household trash. Yard waste must be packaged in paper lawn bags and placed curbside the night before pickup. All brush and limbs must be bundled in 4 foot by 4 foot  piles. Loose limbs at the curb will not be collected. Dumping of yard waste in the parks and other wooded areas in the Town or along the Linear Trail is prohibited.


Residential leaf vacuuming will occur on Mondays beginning October 6.  Please rake or blow your leaves to the curb, DO NOT BAG THEM.  Only leaves can be vacuumed up; do not include sticks, branches, or other yard waste material.  General yard waste collection will still occur on your regular trash day.  Please continue to bag all general yard waste properly.


 Commercial Trash Pickup Schedule

The Town offers monthly rental and service rates for dumpsters. Please call 410-795-8959 for a quote. Commercial pickup is 2 days a week, Monday and Thursday.
