The candidacy filing deadline has passed. The candidates who have filed for the election are listed on the Election Information page.
If you are interested in running for election, please use the correct form for the position. The forms must be filled out completely and submitted to the Town by 12:00 P.M. on Monday, March 24, 2025. Please include a copy of a photo ID with your address listed on it. If this is not available, please contact the Town by email or by calling 410-795-8959 to discuss options that prove your identity and address. Candidates must be 18 years if age and have resided within the corporate limits of the Town of Sykesville for at least one year immediately preceding the Town Election.
Please Note: The nomination process was changed in 2022 (by Charter Amendment Resolution 2022-01) to the Candidacy Filing process. The only way to be a candidate for elected office in the Town of Sykesville is by completing and submitting the Candidacy Filing Form linked above.
